A graduate of the École supérieure de ballet du Québec, Mickaël Spinnhirny turned to communications, after a career as a dancer, focusing on the practices used to develop and coach artists and cultural organizations. In 2017, he melded his two passions to co-found Agence Mickaël Spinnhirny with Lydie Revez. The agency specializes in the development and coaching of artists and cultural organizations in the dance community. Since then, he has represented Quebec and Francophone creators, showcasing emerging and established talent in Quebec and internationally, including Marie Chouinard, Ballets Jazz Montreal, Sylvain Émard Danse, Virginie Brunelle, Andrea Peña & Artists, Destins Croisés and many others. During the pandemic, Mickaël headed up several digital literacy and development projects to equip the community to face the accelerated virtual transition. These included the implementation of the SCENO.TV webcasting service, which enables access to the broadcasting of dance performances.
