Emmalie Ruest
Emmalie Ruest holds a Bachelor’s degree in interpretative dance from UQÀM and is the recipient of the William Douglas Award (2011). It was during her studies that she met Karenne Gravel with whom she formed Dans son salon. The company promotes artistic collaboration on interdisciplinary projects created for the stage and unconventional spaces, as well as for video. Their projects have been presented in several places in Montreal, Canada, France and Mexico. As a performer, Emmalie worked for Manon Oligny, Stacey Désilier, Geneviève Jean Bindley, Abe Simon, Helen Simard and Peter Trozstmer. She also collaborated with Stéphanie Fromentin on a project around the project It’s Fine. She is currently working for creators Thomas Duret and Audrée Lewka, and promoting her company’s new dance video web series, Ma première Gaspésie.
