Éric Valley has worked in the entertainment industry since his teens. While studying music, he debuted his professional career in event ticketing in 1996. From 2001 to 2018, he held several jobs with Cirque du Soleil, both on tour and at the company’s headquarters, including director of ticket sales (2012 to 2018) for its productions worldwide. In this role, he was tasked with developing and implementing ticket operations for what was to become the Touring Show Division in arenas. Several years later, he converted Cirque du Soleil to a dynamic pricing system, a practice that is rapidly spreading to most productions around the world. In 2016, his work on dynamic pricing was recognized by the industry during the Ticketing Technology Forum in Dublin, at which he received the “Moving on Up” Award. Since then, Éric has been acting as expert consultant to various organizations based in Quebec, the United States, Australia and several European countries. In 2019, he co-founded the company TICTACTIX with Richard Thérien and Guillaume Mathieu-Thérien, which specializes in the logistics of marketing event management firms.
