Armando Menicacci

After studying classical and contemporary dance, Armando Menicacci obtained a Master’s degree in Musicology from the University of Rome and a PhD on the relationship between contemporary dance and digital technologies from the Université Paris 8. He published three books and numerous articles on music, theatre, robotics, architecture. psychology, dance and technology. From 2015 to 2019, he taught in the Dance Department of UQÀM. At the same time as his writing projects, Armando produced digital arts creations and designed exhibitions in Europe, Africa, North America and South America. In 2021, he founded SIT Studio (Scènes interactives technologiques) with Nicolas Berzi, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the contemporary arts scene through the development of specific digital technologies.
